Delivering 360 feedback in different cultures

Socia has been asked to deliver a programme of 360 feedback to an Asian client who has not used this development technique before. By listening hard to the concerns of those who will be involved, we designed an approach where we removed all scoring and written reports, replacing them with one-to-one fact finding interviews carried out by the Socia consultant. This then focused on non-attributable, verbal feedback for the individual mediated by the consultant. This was a great success and has encouraged the client to repeat the process in their other Asian business units.
