Accountability mapping
Individuals and teams that have a clear understanding of their own and others’ accountabilities are a cornerstone of every effective organisation. But in times of change – especially when this change involves several interconnected organisations - accountabilities can often become muddied and misunderstood.
At Socia we have developed a practical process for mapping the accountabilities of leaders and their teams through a series of structured interviews in a way which builds joint understanding of:
- what people are really accountable for
- to whom,
- and where they interdependent on others.
This process allows leaders to see the overall picture of how accountability flows through their organisation. The accountability mapping exercise will also act as a catalyst for change to ensure that accountabilities are balanced and matched to the capabilities of the individuals involved.
